Globe Business was invited to be part of the FGD on Cybersecurity and Security-in-Depth Systems that discussed a wide-range of topics to help equip the government sector with knowledge on addressing cybersecurity threats. The event, which Globe Business organized in partnership with the Infocomm Technology Association of the Philippines (ITAP) and DICT, gathered over 80 participants from 13 different national government agencies.
“We couldn’t be more pleased that DICT chose us as a business advisor and partner for this endeavor. Globe Business is leading the way in encouraging both the government and private sector to put in place measures to help them effectively respond to these increasingly complex cybersecurity challenges,” said Globe Business Senior Vice President Peter Maquera. Globe Business is also spearheading the #makeITsafePH campaign to empower Globe Business clients to safeguard sensitive corporate data and to protect company resources.
The plenary session featured Globe Business Senior Advisor for Support Services and Solutions Development Mike Sy as the keynote speaker. He discussed the fast-evolving cybersecurity landscape and a framework that aims to help the government sector set up a solid foundation for cybersecurity and strengthen their security posture. The other subject matter experts took on the breakout sessions to discuss the areas of emergency response systems, forensics and analytics systems, national systems event information management, and threat intelligence management system.
